Screening of documentary by Maria Bregman "Lydia Grigorieva. I Choose to Live"
We are delighted to invite you on 23 April at 6 pm to a Special Screening of Lydia Grigorieva. I Choose to Live directed by Maria Bregman. The film is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the renowned poet. Together with her, we embark on a journey through personal losses – the deaths of loved ones, the weight of private tragedies. Yet even in these moments, Lydia remains resilient: her poetry and inner world continue to flourish. We follow her through the garden, witnessing its lush bloom, and begin to perceive the richness of her inner life, where the earthly and the eternal intertwine. Lydia Grigorieva is both a witness and participant of her time –from the Khrushchev Thaw to the present day – a contemporary of Joseph Brodsky and Dmitry Bobyshev.
